Owner & Director
Veronique Wantz has been an active member of the Twin Cities art scene for the last 15 years as a gallery director and a senior art consultant, both in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
She is originally from France where she received her Master of Art History from Ecole du Louvre in Paris. She specialized in the 17th through 19th centuries in European furniture and decorative objects and Chinese Export porcelain. Veronique worked as an antique dealer and gallery curator in Paris for more than 10 years.
Veronique has always been an art lover, since a very early age, growing up in a family of art collectors, going to museums on Sunday outings, and following in the footsteps of a dearly loved paternal grandmother who once owned and ran an art gallery in Paris in the 1930s. She nurtured her into her own love for all art forms, antiques, classical ballet, concerts and plays.
General Manager & Senior Art Consultant
Louisa comes from a design background, and previous to working at the Veronique Wantz Gallery she created brands for global companies across Australia, Scotland, England and the United States.
Art has always been a influential part of her life. From creating it, to engaging with it, traveling the world to see galleries big and small and, most importantly, loving it. For her, art is something that the heart and mind connect with in a way that cannot always be explained, but hopefully offers the viewer enlightenment on an everyday and evolving basis.
She spent most of her childhood in Australia, before moving the the UK to follow her other passions of travel and culinary adventures, whilst gaining experience in various design agencies along the way. She has lived in the Twin Cities for 7 years and embraces the cold winters and stunning summers alike, and is delighted to call it home.
Before Amanda moved to Minneapolis, she gained over six years of extensive curatorial and managerial experience from galleries and museums in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as a master’s degree in Arts Administration from Boston University.
She is originally from South Carolina, and has lived in the Dominican Republic and Venezuela. Besides being a Gallery Director, she is also a Certified Yoga Instructor and enjoys teaching part-time and strengthening her own practice.
Growing up playing the piano and dancing, she was surrounded by the arts from a young age. Amanda knew she was destined for the visual art world in college, when she attended her first figure study drawing class. Ever since then she has been a dedicated Art Historian, and loves to visit new museums in every city she travels to.
